Terms and Conditions
These conditions are applicable to all bookings with BENAGIL HOLIDAYS (Algarbookings Company Lda). In case there are different conditions for certain accommodations, these will be mentioned and will be valid for those specific units.
The guest needs to be aware of the fact that BENAGIL HOLIDAYS rents out property which is owned by different individual owners and needs to respect this at all times.
Rates & Special Offers
Rates and any Special Offers are valid for the stipulated period, however, BENAGIL HOLIDAYS reserves the right to cancel/change the rates/special offers at any time, without prior notice.
All information displayed on the website of BENAGIL HOLIDAYS has been provided in good faith and is at all times subject to changes.
BENAGIL HOLIDAYS cannot be held responsible for any obvious errors or omissions on the website.
BENAGIL HOLIDAYS cannot be held responsible for any information displayed on its website, which was provided by/through third parties.
Rates mentioned on the website are always inclusive of reservation costs and applicable taxes, however, do not include costs for any travel insurance or any other additional costs that may occur.
Should any additional costs apply, such as electricity costs, cleaning costs and costs for internet connection, baby cots, etc. this will be mentioned separately on the website or in correspondence.
A refundable security breakage deposit will be charged (the amount varies for each property) on top of the total amount for the accommodation. This amount will be refunded by bank transfer, after the check-out (after the end cleaning) when BENAGIL HOLIDAYS has verified that no extra charges have occurred.
Arrival and departure
Arrival and departure days are flexible, although some accommodations require arrivals/departures on specific days – this will be mentioned.
Generally, a minimum stay of 5 nights is required, except in July and August when the minimum stay is 7 nights. Should there apply a different minimum stay to a certain property, this will be mentioned.
Check-in time: after 4 pm
Check-out time: before 10 am
Guests are kindly requested to inform BENAGIL HOLIDAYS of their approximate arrival time prior to the arrival date. Early check-ins or late check-outs might be possible in certain cases, without any extra costs – this should ALWAYS be requested and confirmed by BENAGIL HOLIDAYS prior to arrival/departure!
Reservation and payment
Reservations can be done directly on the website or via e-mail. As soon as BENAGIL HOLIDAYS receives the confirmation from the property owner, a confirmation will be send to the guest per e-mail. In this e-mail the guest will also find information for payment.
Payments can be done by bank transfer or through a payment link offering several payment systems.
At time of booking a deposit payment of 25% is required within 5 days after the reservation was made. The reservation is secured as soon as the deposit payment of 25% has been received by BENAGIL HOLIDAYS. An e-mail confirming this will be send to the guest.
The deposit payment of 25% (except when stated differently) is not refundable and should be received by BENAGIL HOLIDAYS within 5 days after booking.
The remaining 75% must be received by BENAGIL HOLIDAYS until at least 8 weeks prior to the arrival date of the guests.
In case of reservations made with less than 8 weeks prior to arrival date, the full payment (100%) must be made at the time of booking (within 5 days) to secure the reservation.
Cancellation by the guest
Cancellations must be communicated in writing to BENAGIL HOLIDAYS.
For cancellations up to 8 weeks prior to arrival, the cancellation fee is equal to the non-refundable 25% deposit payment.
For any cancellations from 8 weeks prior to arrival up to 0 days prior to arrival, or NO-SHOWS – 100% of the booking amount will be retained as a cancellation fee.
Please be informed that there are travel insurances that will cover these type of costs. We do advise you to insure yourself.
Cancellation by BENAGIL HOLIDAYS
In case BENAGIL HOLIDAYS is forced to cancel a reservation by circumstances beyond its responsibility, the guests will be offered another house of similar nature and price.
Should it not be possible to do this, BENAGIL HOLIDAYS will refund the total amount paid for the reservation, however, without any additional compensation.
Number of guests
The description of each accommodation will state what is the maximum number of guests in that specific unit. At the time of booking, the guest always needs to mention how many persons (including babies and small children) will be occupying the accommodation. Should there be any alterations, the guest is obliged to inform BENAGIL HOLIDAYS about this prior to arrival.
BENAGIL HOLIDAYS reserves the right to charge additional fees in case it has been proven that more guests are occupying the unit than stated by the guest at time of booking.
Pets are not allowed, unless stated differently in the description of the specific house/apartment/villa. Some owners ask for a supplement and/or additional deposit for any damages your pet may cause. It is required that one specifies the wish to bring a pet at the time of booking. Please keep in mind that it might be necessary to present a health certificate and rabies vaccination certificate in case of cats or dogs.
Bedlinen and towels
Bedlinen (pillows, sheets, blankets and/or duvets) are provided in all accommodation units, as well as towels (note: in the majority of the units no pool/beach towels are available).
All via BENAGIL HOLIDAYS rented (town)houses, villas or apartments are privately owned and decorated/furnished to the personal taste of the owner. The kitchen is always fully equipped and features at least a stove, fridge and sufficient crockery & cutlery.
End cleaning of the accommodation is included in the rental rate, unless stated differently.
We do expect that guests leave the house tidy, i.e. floor swept, dishes done, garbage gone, barbecue clean, etc.
All property rented through BENAGIL HOLIDAYS are non-smoking. It is not permitted to smoke anywhere inside.
